Deactivate Rental Items
The option to deactivate a rental item without deleting it is a useful feature in Bookyt for preserving its assignment to existing bookings. Follow these steps to deactivate a rental item:
- Go to the administration area, usually under the Vehicles menu item or a similar label, depending on the software version.
- Search for the rental item you want to deactivate.
- Change the status of the rental item to Deactivated.
- Enter the date from which the rental item should no longer be bookable.
With this procedure, the rental item will no longer be available for bookings from the specified date, while its assignment to existing bookings remains intact. This allows you to properly manage your rental fleet without losing important historical booking data.
