In this section, you will learn how to use our user-friendly interface to create highly customized and complex rates so you can get the most out of your rentals. Step-by-step guide:

  1. Log in to your Bookyt account.
  2. Open the administration area.
  3. Click the Rates tab.
  4. Create a rate:
  • Open the settings menu to activate basic options.
  • Use helpful options such as multiple rate sheets per tier for seasonal rates.
  • If you have any questions, our support team is always available to help.
  1. Create a new rate:
  • Select the relevant rental item group and click its name.
  • A pop-up opens; select “Create new rate”.
  1. Customize the rate:
  • Change the name of your rate.
  • Configure the following options:
  • Active: specify whether the rate can be booked.
  • Available online: rate can only be used for backend bookings.
  • Online discount: enter a percentage value.
  • Online discount as a fixed amount: specify a fixed amount.
  • Can only be selected manually: specify whether employees may only use the system prices.
  • Internal note: add a note about the rate.
  1. Price calculation:
  • Select rental stations and price groups using the dropdown fields.
  • Define different item prices and specify the calculation method (flat rate or based on time tiers).
  1. Create tiers:
  • Define a tier name and select the valid weekdays for pickup and return.
  • Define pickup and return times.
  • Use the “Copy rate tier” button for additional scenarios.
  1. Define the base rental:
  • Specify the smallest tier unit (e.g. 1 day) and the price.
  • Define the included kilometers and set the costs for additional kilometers.
  1. Add additional duration:
  • Choose between different calculation methods for the additional duration.
  • Add prices for subsequent blocks and define optional additional-duration amounts for weekends and public holidays.
  1. Set liability limitations:
  • Activate the liability limitations for the rate.
  • Specify which options should be active and displayed online.
  1. Save:
  • Save your rate structure; your rate is immediately available and active.
